Let’s talk about beauty today—
and I don’t mean the kind that catches your eye.
I’m talking about the kind that catches your soul.
You know that moment when you hear a song, and something inside you just feels it? That’s beauty. Not the kind you measure or photograph—but the kind that moves your heart in a way words can’t explain.
I truly believe this is the kind of beauty God sees in us. The pure kind. The kind that shines from the inside out.
Finding Beauty in the Everyday
Somewhere along the way, we’ve all gotten so busy complaining about what’s wrong that we forget to see what’s right. Sure, sometimes you’ve got to dig a little deeper to find it—like when someone cuts you off on the way to work or you spill your caramel macchiato all over your lap.
But maybe the question isn’t what ruined your day, but what did you allow to take away your joy?
Every single day, there’s beauty hiding in plain sight if we just stop long enough to notice.
Beauty Through Different Eyes
I see it all the time in my kids.
When my oldest was little, she’d sit under the Christmas tree just mesmerized by the twinkle of the lights. She didn’t need presents or noise—just the glow of beauty right in front of her.
My youngest? She finds it in nature—hiking, national parks, the peace of wide-open spaces.
And my son? He finds beauty in machinery—how things work, move, and fit together.
Each one of them sees beauty differently, and that’s the point. It’s all around us, waiting to be seen through our own unique lens.
The Older I Get…
…the more I realize that beauty often hides inside moments.
The laughter shared.
The quiet evenings.
The memories that didn’t go as planned but still make your heart smile when you look back.
As I mentioned in a previous post, life doesn’t always go the way we want it to—but how we see it makes all the difference.
The Most Beautiful Thing
For me, one of the most beautiful things in this world is my wife.
Not just her smile or her laugh—but the quiet moments we share. Sitting on the couch together, watching a show, exchanging a glance from across the room that says more than words ever could.
That’s beauty.
That’s life at its most real and sacred.
See the Beauty Today
So, here’s my challenge to you:
Take a few moments today to really see the beauty around you.
In the people, in the moments, in the ordinary things that are actually extraordinary when you stop to notice.
And if something beautiful stands out to you—I’d love to hear about it.
Drop it in the comments. Share your story. Let’s fill the world with reminders of what’s good.
Until next time,
☕ Stay kind, stay curious, and have a beautiful day.
