God is Good

Today I’ve been reflecting on the world around us. Everywhere I look, I see so many worldly problems pulling people in directions they were never meant to go. Too many of us have lost sight of what it truly means to be happy.

Material things will always break, disappoint, and leave us wanting more. But I’ve learned those are not where the best parts of life are found. God has given each of us incredible gifts—whether it’s talent, wisdom, or a love so deep it can overflow. Those are the things worth cherishing, not the temporary joys the world tries to sell us.

Don’t get me wrong—I’m thankful for the roof over my head, My car and a job and the blessing of sharing it with my family, and the joy I see in my wife’s and kids’ eyes every single day. That’s the kind of blessing I’ll take over anything else. It’s the people God places in our lives that make this world bearable, even beautiful—giving us a little glimpse of heaven here on earth through laughter, music, and memories made together.

Anyone who knows me knows I love cars—but no car will ever take the place of a relationship with the people I care about.

The truth is this: if we keep our eyes on God, we’ll never be without. But if we take our eyes off Him, we’ll find ourselves lacking in everything. My prayer is that we all start focusing less on the temporary “stuff” and more on the eternal One who put us here—for fellowship, for growth, and for love. After all, iron sharpens iron.

🙏 My wish for you today: take a moment to sit back, count your blessings, and praise our Almighty God. If you’re going through a hard time, remember—He can do abundantly more than we could ever imagine. Give it to Him, pray for healing, and know you’re not alone.

If anyone needs prayer, please reach out. ❤️ Sorry for the long post, but this was on my heart today. Wishing everyone a day filled with peace, joy, and the kind of love that lasts a lifetime.

Hey!

Welcome to Scott’s Brewed Thoughts, a corner of the internet fueled by caffeine, curiosity, and the occasional midlife epiphany.

Here, I pour out whatever’s percolating — from random observations and life’s distractions to reflections on family, work, technology, and why the Wi-Fi only breaks when you’re on a deadline.

Think of it as your morning coffee with a side of laughter and a sprinkle of “maybe that actually makes sense.”
